TECHNOLOGY
Bundy-Finkel Architects uses state-of-the-art computer technology to aid in design conceptualization, presentation, cost-estimating, construction documents production (BIM), project marketing and construction administration.
Using 3D computer modeling, computer animation, photo-editing and other advanced programs, we are able to visualize projects at all stages of the design process. This allows clients, design review boards, prospective tenants, contractors, and others, the opportunity to review and understand design concepts at all stages of the work.

COMPUTER MODELING (BIM - Building Information Modeling)
Computer-generated 3D models are used extensively during the design phases of the work to study projects from all angles and to create dynamic, life-like presentations. Upon completion of the design phases, the computer models are then used to create two and three-dimensional construction documents for bidding and construction, and for collision-avoidance coordination with all trades.
PHOTO ENHANCEMENTS
For the Palomar Center remodel in Temecula for PM Realty, photo exhibits were prepared to show the "before" and "after" design. These images were used for client presentations, city design review and preliminary cost estimating.
The contractor preparing the cost estimates stated that the clarity of the presentation made it the most practical method he had seen to date for securing accurate bids based solely on preliminary design data.
As part of the Gambrell Residence Remodel, the client wanted to review several options for repainting his house. Using photos of the existing house, images were produced help the client visualize the final paint colors.
For the Aliso Creek Plaza remodel in Laguna Beach, exhibits were prepared to visualize site and building revisions. These changes included new paint schemes and conversion of parking areas to seating areas as shown.
COMPUTER MODELING + PHOTO EDITING
For the Orange Coast College School of Sailing and Seamanship addition, a 3D computer model was generated of the new building and inserted into a photo of the existing building. Trees, landscaping, cars and people were then added to create the final image.
In the example below: For our Seal Beach Retail project, a 3D computer model was created of the new building and then superimposed over the existing site photo. Additional entourage was then added to make the final image.
For the Aircall.Com remodel, a 3D computer model was created of the existing building and then new features were layered over it to create the final design model.
Ghost images (middle picture) were created to illustrate how the new design features corresponded with the existing building and screened the rooftop equipment as required by the city.
